Crispy kale chips – easy to make and full of flavor!

Evening lovelies, are you ready for some very green, very healthy, but also very delicious chips? My favorite kind of chips are of the more traditional potato kind with sea salt and vinegar, but they are not exactly the healthiest thing to eat, so I like to experiment with fun healthified veggie chips – make sure to check out my colorful root chips right here and this time it is all about kale! These vibrant kale chips are so crisp, full of flavor and are super easy to make, it is such a delicious way to incorporate more kale into your diet!

I first shared the recipe for these crispy kale chips almost three years ago, but only in Danish so I thought it was about time that I added an english version to the blog as well, enjoy! ♥

You can still find the recipe in Danish right here!

Grønka?lschips1Ingredients:
– Yields 1 batch of 2 servings
6 large stalks of kale
1/2-1 tablespoon olive oil
Your favorite spices*

*I like to use a mix of sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder and then a generous sprinkle of nutritional yeast when they are done in the oven or with paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder and a bit of ground cumin.

Kalechips.

Directions:

Start by washing the kale throughly and then remove the stalk and tear the kale into bitesized pieces. Pat the kale dry with a clean dishtowel and add the dry kale to a bowl along with the olive oil. Toss the kale until it is covered in olive oil, add the spices and toss again.

Place the kale on a baking tray lined with parchment paper (make sure to divide them well in a thin layer, so they all get nice and crisp) and bake them in a pre-heated oven at 150 c / 300 f for 8 minutes. Turn the kale chips, give them another 8 minutes, turn them again and give them 8 more minutes – 3 turns, 24 minutes in the oven in total. Baking time might vary depending on your oven, so make sure to keep an eye on them.

Enjoy the kale chips while they are crisp and warm ♥
