Summery elderflower spritzers with mint and lemon
I have been wanting to share this recipe with you guys since last summer, but I somehow kept forgetting about it and now another summer has almost come to an end before I finally got around to it – I have the best timing huh? ;)
It doesn’t really matter though, because while this might be a very summery drink, then I like to enjoy it on festive occasions all year round. I mean, we all need a little taste of summer every now and then right?
This summery elderflower spritzer is absolutely perfect on a hot summer day though, it is so fresh and the perfect way to cool down and maybe even get a little buzz on – I rarely drink, but this is my go-to when I am on vacation and want a cool drink to enjoy out in the afternoon sun while I read my books and destress.
Make sure to check out my aperol spritz popsicles as well!
Ingredients:
1 part white wine
1/2 part sparkling water
1/4 part elderflower syrup*
Slices of lemon
Fresh mint leaves
Lots of ice
*you might need to adjust the amounts as elderflower syrups can vary a lot in strength. From what I understand the one I use is quite mild, so maybe start by adding half the recommended amount.
Directions:
Simply add all ingredients to a pitcher and give it a gentle stir, serve right away, enjoy! ♥
