Vanilla cake balls – all healthy and only 4 ingredients needed

 photo img_1880.jpg

These cute little dessert balls are one of my favourites things to make when I need a quick, easy and healthy treat. They are so yummy – even my dad loved them and asked whether they were actually healthy, I call that a succes! – and the best part is that they’re made from all healthy ingredients that I usually always have available in my kitchen. This time I rolled them in colourful yummy sprinkles, because some days you just need sprinkles ;) But you can easy leave them out to keep them completely healthy (kids love sprinkles though and with an otherwise all healthy treat I feel like a little bit of sprinkles is fine) or you can use my recipe for homemade all healthy sprinkles that I posted a link to below.

Oh and I’m sorry about the bad quality of the photos, I’m having some technial issues and no matter what I do my photos turn out grainy as soon as I post them on the blog, I hope to have it resolved soon!

For more dessert- and bliss ball recipes have a look at this post where I share 11 of my absolute favorite ones.

Directions:

  1. Start by adding the oats, almonds and vanilla powder to a food processor and pulse until it have turned into a fine flour. Then add in the dates and pulse until you have a cohesive dough.
  2. Use your hands to roll the dough into little dessert balls – if you like you can roll them in sprinkles as well.
  3. Let them sit in the fridge or freezer for an hour or two to allow them to firm up a little. Aaand you’re done, easy peasy right? Enjoy! :D

Note: Store them in the fridge or freezer until serving. They keep for about a week.
