Evening lovelies, I am just stopping by to share this super cute and easy little gift idea with you guys – I mean how yummy does these little chocolate spoons look?! ♥

They are the perfect way to upgrade your hot chocolate and add a little something extra when you want to spoil yourself or your loved ones. I have made a big batch of these to give as little edible Christmas and host/hostess gifts along with my peppermint hot chocolate mix and herb salt – they are always a big hit ♥

What you need:
Chocolate – I used a mix of dark, milk and white
Silicone molds*
Little wooden spoons or popsicle sticks

Optional add-ins:
Mini fudge bites
Mini marshmellows
Crushed candy canes
Freeze-dried berries
Chopped nuts, I used pistachios

*silicone moulds will work the best, but in a pinch you can use shot glasses, egg cups or similar items. I did that and it worked fine, but it is a bit more tricky to get the chocolates out of the mould.

Directions:
Simply melt the chocolate, pour it into the moulds (if you want different layers, then let it set a little before you add a new layer), add the spoons and your toppings of choice. Now all there is left to do is to set the moulds aside and allow the chocolate to set.

If you used shot glasses, egg cups etc. like I did, then it can be a bit tricky to get the chocolate out. What I did was to fill a small bowl with boiling hot water and then dip the moulds for 1 second (seriously, no longer) and then I was able to easily pull them out. Some of them needed an extra dip, but be careful, they start to melt really easily and then they won’t look as pretty.

I wrapped the chocolate spoons in little airtight giftbags (you can find them at Søstrene Grene), so that they are ready to be gifted this Sunday ♥
